Chevy 350/290 HP Crate Engine
GM Performance 350/290 engines are all about quality and low price. Most people buy it because it's a great engine with good performance at a super low price for the engine you get. Not everyone can afford a 600 HP big block, so GMPP makes the 350/290 crate motor for smaller budgets. With 290 hp @ 5100 rpm and 326 lb.-ft. of torque at 3750 rpm, the 350/290 performs and lasts for miles of reliable fun.
GM Performance 350 - 290 engines are built with a 4 bolt main block, aluminum pistons and hydraulic cam. Cast iron heads provide a balance between good flow and cost savings over aluminum heads.
The 350/290 comes as a long block. You add your carb, intake, ignition, starter, balancer, water pump and a few other components. With a low base price, you can afford to add some high performance parts to make a strong runner.
