Chevy LS2 6.0L without ECM and Wire Harness

Picture the LS1 with more displacement and power and you get the all new LS2. Add in a technical leap forward and you get the LS2 from the Corvette. This is the standard engine that propels the Vette to break neck speeds. It's available for your ride.

This LS2 engine is based on the LS1 block, which has a 6 bolt main, structural oil pan and a deep skirt. New additions to the LS2 are as folows: Knock sensors were relocated. The crankcase vent was moved to the top of the valley. The cam sensor was moved to the front of the LS2 engine. LS2 heads flow very well and are actually from the LS6 engine. The technology comes in the form of an electronically controlled throttle - Drive by wire.

When you order an LS2 crate engine, you the get balancer, exhaust manifolds, water pump, composite intake manifold, electronically controlled 90 mm throttle body, fuel rail with injectors and a 14” flexplate for automatic transmissions. PN 19156261 uses a Corvette oil pan installed and PN 19159564 comes with a GTO-style oil pan installed. The LS2 can be adapted to muscle cars and street rods.

Installation Notes

  • 14" automatic transmission flexplate included.
  • Starting with the 2006 model year, the LS2 now comes with a 58X reluctor wheel and new camshaft sensing, and is not compatible with pre-06 ECMs.
