Chevy ZZ502/502 Deluxe

GMPP also offers the ZZ502/502 in an assembled version. The deluxe version includes a carburetor to oil pan engine assembly ready to roar with 502 horsepower and 567 lb ft of torque. It's massive big block rompin power ready to rock in your favorite street or muscle car. It's ready to install. You add the gas and 12 volts to bring it alive.

Aluminum oval port heads with big valves flow air to the giant big block bores and 4 inch stroke crank. The forged crankshaft is held in place with a four bolt main Gen VI engine block. The rest of the rotating assembly is forged steel with forged aluminum 9.6:1 pistons.

Installation Notes

  • NOTE: Distributor with melonized steel gear MUST be used with long blocks and partial engines with steel camshafts, or engine damage will occur. GMPP distributor P/N 93440806 is recommended.
  • Carburetor and starter not installed because of crate fitment.
  • Clutch linkage boss is cast into block, but must be drilled and tapped. When using cast iron exhaust manifolds, lower head bolts may need to be replaced with bolts with shorter heads, for clearance.
  • Requires electric fuel pump because Gen VI block has no mechanical pump boss
  • Comes with a 14" automatic transmission flexplate.
  • Intended for pre-1977 street vehicles or all off-road vehicles.
  • Not intended for marine applications.
