Chevy LS1 crate engine

LS1 Chevy Crate Engine - No ECM or Harness

GM built the LS1 in 1997 and it was a giant leap forward for Chevy fans everywhere. The small block was getting old and needed some new energy. The LS1 is part of the GM LS family of V8 engines and was the first of many powerful engines in the LS series.

The LS1 is better than any small-block Chevy that came before. The LS1 has a deep-skirt, 6 bolt main block, with a structural oil pan and other carefully engineered features. These additions make the LS1 a great chevy crate engine. A massive lift camshaft pushes big 2.00/1.55 valves in symmetrical-port cylinder heads helps make it a great performer. The LS1 crate engine is rated at 350 horsepower and 365 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine includes a GTO-style oil pan, electronic drive-by wire throttle body, intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, fuel rail with injectors, balancer and 14" automatic transmission flexplate. You add your wiring and electronics.
